How to cook Fried Chicken with Saffron?


Here you will find the recipe for cooking Fried chicken with Saffron as an ingredient.

  • 8 chicken legs
  • 1 sprig of rosemary
  • 1 sprig of sage
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 sachet of saffron
  • extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt and Pepper To Taste
  • 200 g. made with flour
  • 2 eggs
  • light beer to taste
  • ½ sachet of saffron
  • to garnish ½ red pepper, ½ yellow pepper, and fresh oregano


  1. Wash the chicken legs and dry them with kitchen paper. Put them in a non-stick pan, add salt, add the aromatic herbs and cook them over medium heat for 5 minutes, turning them often.
  2. Remove the herbs, add 1 sachet of saffron dissolved in a tablespoon of hot water and continue cooking until the sauce is reduced. Remove the thighs from the pan, dry them with kitchen paper and let them cool.
  3. Meanwhile, put the sifted flour with beaten eggs in a bowl, add the ½ sachet of saffron and mix with a fork. Dilute with beer until you get a fluid consistency.
  4. Heat the oil in a pan; before dipping the thighs in the batter, cut them with a pointed knife, forming some small cuts. Fry for 10 minutes, then lay on kitchen paper and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  5. Serve garnished with julienned peppers and fresh oregano leaves.
